Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 13, 2026. Last reviewed: October 13, 2026.

1. Overview and Our Fundamental Privacy Promise

At FormatLab, we believe that utility tools should not require compromising your private data. When you use any tool on this website (such as converting images, resizing graphics, merging PDFs, or compressing documents), your files are processed completely inside your web browser on your own physical device.

We do not upload, transmit, store, inspect, or copy your files on any remote servers. Your documents, photos, forms, and metadata remain strictly on your computer, tablet, or phone at all times.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

Like virtually all internet websites, when you access FormatLab, our hosting platform and content delivery networks may automatically record standard technical server logs. These logs may include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring website address and timestamps of access

These technical records are used solely to deliver web assets securely, detect network abuse, and maintain site stability. These records never contain your file contents or processing activities.

3. Local Storage and Cookies

FormatLab uses minimal browser storage. We use your browser local storage solely to remember:

  • Your visual theme preference (light mode or dark mode)
  • Your cookie consent decision (when advertising features are active)

We never store file data, document thumbnails, or file names in persistent storage. All processing memory is cleared when you finish your task or close the window.

4. Third-Party Advertising and Cookies

Google AdSense is integrated for future service sustainability but is currently disabled. No advertising cookies or third-party ad network tracking scripts are loaded on this website.

5. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your geographic location, you possess rights under data privacy regulations such as the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to request access, rectification, or deletion of personal data.

Because we do not collect or store user accounts, identities, or processed file contents, we hold no personal document data associated with you. If you have any inquiries regarding technical server log retention or privacy practices, you may contact our privacy team at hello@example.com.

6. Children Privacy Protection

Our services are not directed to children under 13 years of age (or under 16 where applicable by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.

7. Contact Information
