Editorial Policy

1. Purpose and Independence
FormatLab is dedicated to providing clear, technically accurate, and candid educational information regarding digital media formats, compression techniques, and PDF handling. All tutorials, format comparisons, and documentation are prepared independently by The FormatLab Team.
We do not accept sponsored placements, paid reviews, or affiliate endorsements that could compromise our editorial neutrality. Our recommendations prioritize technical efficiency, format compatibility, and data safety.
2. Research and Verification Process
Every guide and tool explanation is written based on hands on empirical testing and standard technical specifications (including ISO standards for PDF, ITU-T recommendations for JPEG, W3C specifications for PNG and SVG, and WebP specifications). We verify:
- Actual file size outcomes across diverse test image types and resolution classes.
- Browser compatibility realities across modern rendering engines (Blink, WebKit, Gecko).
- Honest trade offs, such as loss of transparency when converting to JPG or visual artifacts at low quality factors.
3. AI Drafting and Human Curation
While automated drafting tools may assist in structuring initial outlines, all published text undergoes rigorous human review and editing by The FormatLab Team to ensure that every paragraph contains practical value, original perspective, and zero formulaic filler.
4. Corrections and Update Cadence
Digital format specifications and browser capabilities evolve over time. We review all technical guides and format specifications at least twice annually. If you notice any technical discrepancy or out of date advice, please contact us at hello@example.com, and we will review and correct the content promptly.
